Activities at Foyer du monde

Community meals

Every month, a group of residents prepares traditional dishes from their country, sharing their culinary knowledge with others in the house for everyone’s enjoyment!

Resident Committee Meetings

This meeting allows residents and a team leader to discuss new house measures, tasks, and roles. It’s a crucial moment of dialogue to ensure the smooth operation of the house.

Sociocultural outings

Every other weekend, our art therapist organizes an outing for our residents. From apple picking to canoe trips or visits to botanical gardens, there’s something for everyone!


Weekly evening activities

Each week, thanks to our volunteers, activities are organized for the residents. This could include knitting classes, yoga sessions, game nights, or movie screenings!

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY URGENT APPLICATIONS; WE OPERATE ON A WAITLIST. Also note that the Foyer du Monde team does not provide overnight and weekend support. “ L'accueil était fabuleux. Foyer du Monde est une maison pour les parents, accueillant tout le monde. Quand l'enfant grandit, il s'en va mais sans oublier ses parents, les visitant, etc. C'est un organisme unique, nous adorons FDM (Foyer du Monde). Nous avons passé d'agréables moments au Foyer. J'ai vécu au Canada pendant 4 ans sans m'intégrer. C'est ici que j'ai appris le fonctionnement du système. C'était comme un voyage, où j'ai découvert beaucoup de choses.
